Events

This page lists out only the major events organized by Nakshatra, both past and upcoming. Information regarding regular star gazing sessions, and minor informal events can be obtained from our Facebook group (link on sidebar).

• String theory - upto Feb 28, 2014:
  The online science fiction writing competition
  Write a sci fi stroy within 1000 words. More information here:

• Stargazing@Pragyan - Mar 7 - 9, 2014:
  Watch the skies through a telescope
  Will be conducted on all 3 days of Pragyan, the NITT technical fest (March 7 -9). Time: 7 pm at the grounds behind the old tennis courts (food stall court). The briefing/descriptions of the event can be read here (google doc).

• Curiosity - 16 Feb, 2014: 
  A guest lecture series on astronomy, philosophy and science, with speakers from all over the world.
• Student Lecture Series - 27 Oct, 2013:A lecture series on many scientific topics given by students themselves.
• Club Inauguration - 25 April, 2013:
  The club was officially inaugurated and a short intro to amateur astronomy was given.
